Our Leadership

At SPARK Microgravity, Allison architects the technical vision and Katharina is the strategic backbone and executor. Together, they are the company’s dual orbit—the innovator and the entrepreneur—one pushing beyond Earth, the other turning vision into an investment, operations, and scalable business.

Meet the leaders behind SPARK Microgravity

Allison Bajet

Co-founder & CEO

The Innovator

Allison Bajet leads SPARK Microgravity’s vision, technical strategy, platform direction, and commercial architecture. She shapes the company’s autonomous orbital research platform and drives its translation from strategic concept into a buildable, mission-ready system. Her work brings together frontier aerospace, life science infrastructure, customer need, and market opportunity into one coherent company thesis.

At SPARK, Allison defines the technical and commercial foundations of the platform: making microgravity usable not as a rare experimental condition, but as a repeatable research environment for oncology, drug discovery, and translational biology.

Katharina Weidmann

Co-founder & COO

The Entrepreneur

Katharina Weidmann leads SPARK Microgravity’s operations, legal strategy, financing, partnerships, and mission execution. She builds the institutional and operating backbone required to turn a frontier aerospace-biotech platform into an executable company. Her work spans governance, financing, legal architecture, partner coordination, investor readiness, and launch discipline.

At SPARK, Katharina brings structure to complexity, ensuring that the company’s technical ambition is matched by the operational clarity, legal strength, and institutional credibility required to build trusted research infrastructure in orbit.

Jonas Kunzel

Head of Oncology

The Scientific Strategist

Jonas Kuenzel leads SPARK Microgravity’s oncology and data strategy. He defines the scientific and analytical standards that allow SPARK’s missions to generate meaningful, decision-grade research outputs for cancer biology and translational science. His role connects the company’s orbital platform with the expectations of scientists, pharma customers, and research organizations seeking reliable biological insight from microgravity.

At SPARK, Jonas brings the scientific discipline needed to turn space-based experimentation into structured oncology data with research value and commercial relevance.

Raphael Strecker

Working Student, Microgravity Cancer Researcher & Aerospace Engineer

The Translator

Raphael Strecker works at the interface of aerospace engineering and microgravity cancer biology. He supports the translation of biological research objectives into mission-ready workflows that can withstand the operational realities of launch, integration, and real microgravity exposure. His background gives SPARK a rare bridge between laboratory science and spaceflight execution.

At SPARK, Raphael helps ensure that experiments are not only scientifically well-founded, but operationally prepared for the conditions required to generate credible data in space.

Our Impact
At SPARK Microgravity, we transform cancer research into more informed tumor data— by giving pharmaceuticals a new preclinical tool, and a new space to explore cancer drug development for the future.
