As CEO, Allison leads SPARK’s vision, product development, and mission architecture. Known for her futuristic thinking and cross-disciplinary approach, she’s redefining how the next generation of space-biotech infrastructure will power drug discovery and personalized medicine.
Her work in London formed the scientific foundation of the company, she bridges aerospace engineering and life sciences to pioneer how we study cancer in orbit. Her international, award-winning background in system design and her research within the global microgravity research ecosystem led to the creation of SPARK Microgravity, a company dedicated to building autonomous orbital laboratories for cancer and organoid research.

A lawyer turned entrepreneur, she drives the company’s financial strategy, operations, and investor relations, ensuring SPARK’s scientific breakthroughs are matched by business scalability and regulatory strength.
With a background in corporate and tax law, Katharina brings structure to complexity, guiding cross-border entity management, investment strategy, and compliance across Europe and the United States.
Her leadership balances Allison’s technical innovation with a clear commercial vision, building SPARK into a resilient, investment-ready deep-tech company.
